Just curious, what are you guys following lyricalstars.tumblr for? :P Since i’m not posting on just an area(Right here There’s mandopop, cantopop, dramas etc)? and incase people aren’t still aware, i’m behind the graphics/gif/edits for tvbstaredits.tumblr and aaronyupdates.tumblr too ~ *waves* (That’s also why sometimes its so dead here :x)

My photo was blurr due to the quality and the way my friend took it :’( Thats what I hate when the halos appea all the time when I press sharpen DX Btw,in my edit unsharp mask tab,there is amount,radius and threhold,should i put bigger or smaller ?I cant really see if it looks better or not,i hate making the pic quality better XC

Usually I put Amount at the maximum and then slowly increase Radius (0.1-0.2px for minimal sharpening up to 1-2px?) until it becomes sharp enough. Higher threshold will sharpen less of the photo (only the parts that are sharper are affected) but usually I leave it at minimum cuz it tends to look weird if I increase both Radius and Threshold.
In any case, the key to preventing Halos is a smaller radius :) It helps to zoom in when sharpening too so u can see the effects better :)

Hi! Are you using PS? Or GIMP? For PS, go to Filter -> Sharpen. Choose either Smart Sharpen or Unsharp Mask (the rest are generally not effective). Try to choose a larger Amount and smaller Radius to prevent Halos (the weird outlines around an object when you oversharpen).
The exact settings will have to depend on ur image. The steps should be roughly the same for GIMP and other image editing software.
Ask me again if u need more help. :) Tho I must say, I’m not an expert in sharpening. :(
Anw was ur photo blur cuz it was out of focus or because of motion blur (hands unsteady/object moving too fast)?
